2. Fort Frederica National Monument
For nature, water, and a national monument, Fort Frederica is a must-see.
Children can participate in a junior ranger program or the entire family can take a self-guided tour of the entire grounds. Fishing and kayaking are even permitted by the dinghy dock.

3. Tybee Island Light Station and Museum

Tickets can only be purchased on arrival, and the lighthouse is subject to sudden closure if adverse weather arises. There is free parking on sight for visitors, though.
